Windows users can unlock, install and restore Codex skins today

Codex Skins currently ships Windows 10/11 beta packages with a one-click installer, explicit compatibility checks and a restore script. Installable ZIP downloads require a signed-in account with credits or a paid purchase.

How Windows install works

Unlock a ZIP, unzip it into Downloads/Desktop/Documents, then double-click installer\Install Codex Skin.cmd. If asked, paste the full path to Codex.exe.

No app.asar replacement
No edits to signed Codex binaries
No access to chats, accounts, cookies or projects
Theme files live in the current user data directory

Safety and restore

The runtime uses guarded UI-anchor checks and fails closed when the app version or live DOM changes. You can restore by closing the themed launch window or running installer\restore.ps1 -RemoveFiles.
